    Aw Emrys.

And… I am assuming Low Down instead of Down Low was an intentional choice to show the dorkiness that is Emrys

It’s not easy for many people to hide their feelings, at least, not for long.

Yeah, I can definitely relate to Emrys. πŸ™‚ Jeff has a good point though, what could they do if they knew Beth’s stated feelings on the matter? Sometimes, being a friend is a lot of “hurry up and wait” instead of getting involved.

Jeff wins it with “I have a time share there”. πŸ˜€

I am a bit annoyed with Emrys that he’s annoyed that he’s in the “Friend Zone.” It makes him seem like a “Nice Guy” ie someone who’s outwardly nice to a girl until he gets a chance to date her, but becomes nasty once said girl rejects him. I know he’s NOT, otherwise he’d most likely be sleeping with Shannon right now, but the conversation does fit the trope.

Jeff really needs to talk to Beth to get a confirmation that Beth feels the same way towards Emrys, since in my opinion a GOOD friend would tell him to move on… though Emrys did do that a few months prior and ended up with Stephanie…

At this point I think the only way Emrys would have a shot is if Beth makes a declaration of love after Emrys’s mom inevitably attempts to persuade him to dump his friends and live in solitude with her.

if you go back a few comics you will find one that shows Beth actually reciprocates those feelings now. It was just a case of bad timing since he was with Shannon. Also I think that Emrys has shown he does not fit the trope since he has continued to be nice to Beth even though he believes that he has no shot with her, with one major misunderstanding that got resolved.
Although i agree that the air needs to be cleared I don’t think this is a good time either, Emrys needs to be fully over his relationship with shannon, otherwise those lingering feelings could sabotage him and Beth, maybe after this issue with his moms is resolved.

I think ‘Friend Zone’ just meant that a girl or guy only sees them as a friend and not anything romantic.
As for how it all plays out…for good or bad, we’ll all know by the end of the chapter.
Oh, and anonymous, I think you mean Stephanie, not Shannon. πŸ™‚
