I so feel for Jeff, cuz IΒ΄d be the same here π
And I am safe and relatively sane (slowly getting out of depression episode). Until industry is going, my truck wheels are rolling π Also there is going to be company vacation at the turn of July and August.
At last panel is a typo at “WeΒ΄re not stopping for boLwling.”
I once had a young woman actually come out and say “You do realize I am hitting on you right?” I said, “I have autism I had no idea.” We did date for almost a year but I am a lot of work…..
Warehouse in northern Illinois. Ten hours today and 91 degrees, with 80-90% of the people refusing to wear masks for various reasons that boil down to “they scare me”!
I know i shouldn’t complain. I’m lucky to be working through this shit, and we’ve given a few hundred dollars to various charities like the Navajo Nation covid relief fund, Stand Up for Kids, and a local community kitchen. But i worry every day about bringing the virus home with me.

Oh wow. I’m so sorry. That sounds awful. I’m glad you still have a job but still…
Take good care of yourself.

Thanks! I’m quite aware we’re among the lucky ones, and were before this, too, but it still sucks!
I hope you’re doing all right, too, and we all get through this with minimal suffering!
In Panel_3, it looks like she’s asking-&-answering her own question.
The 1st_half of the 2nd word-balloon sounds like it should be HIM speaking, not her.
Jeff & JoJo! Sign me up for those adventures, I want to see those two fun people stir up some laughs! π
Unfortunately, I can’t say that I’ve ever been in Jeff’s shoes, figuratively speaking, with regard to actually getting a date. I’ve been the clueless one before, but it never led to a date. Oh well. π
The last panel takes me back to the second job interview for the best job I ever had, *in* a bowling alley in SillyKoan[sic] Valley. The people who ran the restaurant bought the bowliing alley because it had the most appropriate facilities for this family of all the properties available at the time. It was Futurama Bowl, 5390 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, and later became a Safeway.
Well, this is surprising. I mean, there were those two strips where Jeff made Joanna dinner, but I never thought she became romantically interested in him because of that. There weren’t any other context clues that she thought of Jeff as anything other than a goofy buddy, same as how all the other girls think of him.

I kind of had a similar experience too. That’s what makes life interesting – we’re all in this together. π

Safe and sane? Uf. i have to go to work with idiots in 90+ degree heat in a couple hours. That wasn’t sane last year!
