Patreon Notes: As some of you may have noticed, I'm very behind on this month's extra comic. Due to the convention and the vacation, it looks like it should be up sometime next week. Also next week I'll be sending out signed copies of the Deflectors #2 to all Patreons of $5 and over. So look for that soon. I'm off to Rose City Comic Con. I'm so looking forward to it!     Yeah, gotta say, skeptic or not, I agree with Emrys’ reaction. She’s a cutie. 😉

    She’s also a sensible date, which, while it clashes with my gentlemanly upbringing, I completely agree with her logic and would agree to it after the same polite inquiry that Emrys made. Etiquette is a complex thing, which is why they used to have schools for it, and I doubt anyone would disagree that knowing proper etiquette, even if it isn’t necessary, would be useful.

    Lastly, the only reason I’m skeptical is because it all seems too good to be true, which we all know can happen, it just isn’t likely. 😉

      Yeah, It does seem like Emrys’ luck is going so well that there must be a catch…

    Yeah I agree. This feels like a Karma setup and the start of a love triangle. I don’t think she has bad intentions. But Emery’s is a good guy and is going to feel guilty as hell because he really likes Beth (even though she obviously is avoiding a relationship with him). He isn’t doing this in spite of what Beth did to him, but he will still feel really bad later I bet. Like he cheated on his fantasy.

    As for Beth, she is probably going to “catch” them together and play it off like it’s cool, but will eventually realize that she is hurt. Even though they aren’t together and she has pushed him to date others, she may feel like she is just now realizing what she could have had. Pairing this with the fact that she just got out of a relationship where her old boyfriend cheated on her, this will make her feel worse. She will never admit it however, and won’t want to jeopardize Emery’s chance to be happy. Instead she may try to drown out the pain with a few more quick hook ups, but that’s just going to go bad for her in the end.

    This is all speculation however so take it for what it’s worth.

      PS. I’m sorry if it’s poor etiquette to speculate on an ongoing comic in such a public place. I did not think about that before posting. Some creators don’t mind, some find it rude as if their readers are giving away plot points. I don’t mean to offend, this comic just gets me thinking ahead. I’m really into it.

        No, I love it. Speculate away. I got the next fifty-seventy episodes well plotted so I’m set with where the story is going.

      These comics write themselves.
      It’s all good. It means the characters are so fleshed out that readers can kind of guess plausible outcomes for them. I’ll try to throw in a small curve ball once in a while…
