New Midnight Edition will be up this weekend. I promise. Sorry it took so long what with the Kickstarter and all last month. So for the wait, there will be two pages up starting a new sexy short story, this time with Devon and Annabel. Oh! and I nearly forgot... Next weekend I will be at ROSE CITY COMIC CON! The first convention I've attended in...three years! It's been way too long! So if you are any where in the Portland OR. area or even the north west, come on down. I'd love to see you. I'll be in Artist Alley at table AA07. All three days -Sept. 10-12. This will be my only convention this year.

    Emrys, for God Sake, STFU and enjoy it. Before you ruin it totally.

    Eric, what pisses me off the most Is not that distance, but covid shit blocking traveling. I’d like to meet you so much. Hope I’d get to States once again.

      I know. Covid has thrown every thing into chaos when it comes to traveling. I hope you can make it over here one day, too. ( I hope I can get myself to Europe one day as well.)

        Fortunately, I have traveling a bit easier here in Europe, because as a truck driver I am exempted from restrictons. Just have to travel by truck 🙂

        And if you get to Czech Republic, I´d be gladly your guide.

    And honestly, between his past of being laughed at or used by women, with his recent breakup with Steph and the confusion of Beth, I can understand his hesitancy and why he asked.

    …probably should have phrased it better, but that is more a lack of experience than anything.

    What Emrys asked could have been phrased even worse- he could have said “ANYone” instead of “SOMEone.” “Anyone” sounds more random than “someone” IMO.

      That’s true. And knowing Emrys, he could have really screwed it up even more. 🙂

    Ouch. That was like a broadside from a man-o-war hitting me square in the chest. I completely understand why Emrys asked that question and I am simply blown away that she’s so patient and understanding after such a question, poorly worded or otherwise. She might not want to have anything to do with Emrys after tonight for her own reasons, but Lord knows she is going to leave a lasting impression on him for the better, no matter what. I know she would for me, but it would never happen.

    I know this is classified as a “random hookup”, and we may never even get to know her name, but she’s already won me over. I get that this is meant to be about no strings sex, but there’s a lot more emotion involved here than I can properly elaborate on within the limitations of this comment system.

    Eric, you’re writing a heartbreaker, and all I can do is thank you for it.

    Well, just maybe…

    Emrys gets lucky with Ms. Anonymous, Beth gets lucky with Mr. “Vegas belongs to me” (yea I don’t like him), and on the way back, all gets out in the open (of course!).

    So they agree on the age-old saying that “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” and decide to take it from there.

    Well, a man can dream, amiright? 😉

    What I’d like to see is this: “Sad Sack” Emrys finally gets amazingly lucky. and he has the time of his life with Ms. X. Meanwhile, everything goes wrong for Beth with Robert. Like, Murphy’s Law wrong. I would find the above most entertaining. 🙂

    I keep seeing people coming down hard on Beth, hoping for her night to go badly and Emrys to treat her harshly . . . but he blew her off! What was she supposed to do, sit around and wait while he moped? Let her have some fun!

      I agree with you, Grace, and I don’t think Beth’s night is going to turn out bad, rather the opposite is my guess. I don’t know why anyone wants to punish her, or see her suffer, she’s just as human as everyone else and it certainly won’t help the situation if her life gets worse. After all, she’s out of a job just like Emrys right now, so her future is just as uncertain as his.

      From a drama perspective, having both Emrys and Beth meet someone they become attached to is a good thing, it builds tension as they continue to set aside their feelings and fail to communicate them properly. That being said, one of the things that I most appreciate about Eric’s storytelling is that it feels organic instead of forced, so I suspect the outcome is going to be something wonderfully more “mundane” and relatable. 🙂

      Life happens, we just have to decide how we want to approach it and figure it out as we go along. 🙂

    So much speculation on what’s going to happen… I’m a little nervous now on how everyone will react to the ending. I have a feeling most people will either like it or hate it….
