This, of course, should come as no surprise to any of you out there.

    *sigh* Yes, you telegraphed it… Yes, we were all hoping something would intervene and this wouldn’t happen. Yes, this could be… Fugly.
    To add to the feeling of betrayal, the sudden (since it’s been a bit more of a cool down between the two of them lately) increase in affection along with the declaration that she’s suddenly ready to move in together, which, once Annabel reads that note, is going to seem more of a reaction to losing this other girl (which of course was never mentioned in any way before)… There are two ways this could go (easily) and neither of them are pleasant… Are we looking at another couple disintegrating before our eyes? Ahhh, the joys of not communicating with the person you love. As Gorbi said… Popcorn and a stiff drink maybe?

    She had the note still in her POCKET? I could see Devon tossing the note into her car and forgetting about it, and Annabel accidentally finding it, but having Devon keep the note in her pocket the entire time is a little TOO convenient because it leads RIGHT into a direct confrontation. Devon might be the dumbest person in this entire series right now for keeping the note on her person the entire time, and that’s saying something since Dave has gone totally bonkers with bad decisions lately.

    The only good ending on this:
    “Yes, beloved, she left me this note. It showed me that the real thing we have is more important than any could-be’s or might-have-been’s. That is why I want to move in and make this permanent…”
    To paraphrase Ramsay Bolton, though, “If you think this has a happy ending, then you haven’t been paying attention.”
