      That’s one of the things I like about her. (Most of the time) she is grounded in reality.

   Found your comic a week or so back and did a slow archive binge – just now caught up.
   Love the comic! Well-written and believably complex characters are hard to find, and I particularly like that everybody seems to have multitudes of grey in their behavior.
   Seems Emrys is stuck in a comfortable spot and was hoping to go from there to the dream job, not putting in the effort. I like how Stephanie is influencing his character and I don’t think she’s manipulative… just that she might not go about it the right way. Can only imagine what’ll happen when she hears of Emrys’ mom’s treatment and manipulation of him… that’ll be interesting I’ll bet.

   As for Beth, yeah she has some issues and is generally quite sweet, but she shouldn’t manipulate or judge so harshly herself. I wonder how much her past coping behavior is still present in her mind in playing a role in pushing Emrys away? Can’t have it all…
   Oh by the way the goodbye post from Mark to Shannon was fucking brilliant!

   Another great letter with a new reader.
   Thank you for taking the time to write in. I so appreciate it.
   I do love writing this comic. I love trying to make the characters believable and still keeping them entertaining enough to follow each week. I’ve always liked characters who were somewhere in the shade of gray and I’m trying hard to incorporate that philosophy into the comic more and more. I just wish I could put out the comic more often. I’ve written the stories all the way out till April and plotted everyone up to episode 600. Lots of interesting developments ahead and I can’t wait to share them.
   I’m glad you enjoy the comic and thanks again for writing in.

   Really nice job on Beth in that last panel, especially her hair, eyes and mouth! Sometimes I forget she’s fictional.

   I’m hoping that Emrys doesn’t let himself become isolated from the crew, especially not Beth, because I think he needs them more than he needs a girlfriend. Jury is still out on Stephanie, but I’m trying to be more optimistic, particularly since I was so critical of her from the beginning. Looking forward to see where this goes!

      Thank you. I’m liking how Beth is looking these days too. She’s always been one of my favs to draw.
