  1. “Come on. LetΒ΄s do this. Leeeeeerroooooooooy JENKINS” (World of Warcraft meme) πŸ˜€

  2. Awww, all is forgiven and they’re friends again! That seems… waayyy too easy to me. But then again, it’d be pointless to drag out a road trip arc with Beth and Emrys glaring at each other for multiple strips due to a misunderstanding.

Beth is right, though… she’s not Emrys’s only friend. The whole gang is taking paid time off to go help Emrys move his mom, which is REALLY out of their way.I wish I could have friends like that.

The first draft I wrote had Beth and Emrys still upset with each other on the road trip and that did NOT read well with everything else going on. So yeah, smoothed things over (sort of) before the trip.
…And this was more in line to what (kind of) actually happened with me many, many years ago sitting on some metal steps…

      1. Including that urinating hobo? πŸ™‚

  3. True, Beth isn’t Emrys’ only friend, but Beth at least has the common ground of being in an emotional manipulative relationship.

Jeff is a good friend, but I am pretty sure he would say something along the lines of ” At least she was hot, right?”

Mateo would pull out his little black book and find a few girls to hook up with

Dave would offer a bar runa nd a trip to the strip club (And awkwardness when Emrys sees Shannon working)

Devon/Joanna/Shannon I don’t see as close to Emrys as the rest of the group

Annabel though, she could probably mention some horrible bitch girlfriends

  4. And here it comes…..

    SCOOOBY DOOBY DOOOOOOO

  5. BTW it can get a bit ugly, when you try to go from I 5 to I84 in Portland, OR and that junction is closed by police. So I had to go thru Vancouver, WA. With 18 wheeler. Just one small experience while playing American Truck Simulator πŸ™‚

  6. Some moments in life are just like this, turning on a dime when you least expect it. Though it may feel a little out of place on first read, once you have a few moments to reflect on it, the whole scene smooths out a little. My experience has generally been the opposite chain of evens (all good to WTF happend?), but sometimes you get lucky. πŸ˜‰

  7. That last panel has finally bludgeoned the little gray cells into remembering the motto of the company which gave me the best job I ever had: “More than just talk.” That’s what the two of them need, gently, openly, considerately, respectfully, joyfully, consensually,… in contrast to what they’d previously experienced. It worked for me, any road.
