Puffin Mateo

So... Catching up on the comics this week. Making back my buffer of a week or two so I'm ready for my next disaster to strike. Came across a sketch I did of Mateo as the Alice in Wonderland caterpillar (sorta) and thought it would be cool to color it up and drop it in. And thus gaining a little breathing room for me to draw some comics without feeling rushed. I've never been one of those web comic people that fly by the seat of their pants who draw a comic and post the same day. My hats off to them cos that shit terrifies me! I prefer to work off a story (that I've written about a month in advance) and take my time drawing it out, inking it up and coloring it down and have it ready to post for next week (or two weeks preferably). Because in my mind, there is nothing worse than having two sick little kids to take care of, a car that's just broke down and needs to be fixed, work calling you in demanding extra hours, and your computer suddenly taking a dump and realizing you have nothing to post and no time to do it. (And no, none of that is happening to me right now, but you never know when those kind of weeks will suddenly spring up. so...) But fear not. This Friday will have an all new comic! And coming in a couple of weeks, I'll be delving into some of the character's past including the sorted details of Mark and Shannon. So there's that... And if that's not enough... there is always this...
