As I said in the comments of last comic, Thank you for every ones interest and enthusiasm for the comic. I'm a very lucky person to have such devoted readers.
Nah. Shannon and Emrys were never really that close to begin with, but Shannon loved Mark and Mark was the closest thing to a best friend Emrys had in the series, so it would make sense that Shannon could just open up to Emrys. There’s really no one else who would be appropriate at this point- The girls are sort of walking on eggshells around her after Jojo’s revelation, Jeff likes Jojo so Shannon would be pretty mum about her feelings, Dave is the cause of Shannon’ and Marks breakup in the first place, and I have a feeling if she opened up to Mateo they would be sleeping together. Emrys is innocence personified, so everyone would know that a platonic hug is just a platonic hug.
Once again, you hit the nail on the head, Corey. You are spot on with the characters. In the end, the hug was just a comforting hug and I’d like to think all the characters would know the difference.(and if it was misconstrued, I would hope to convey it more overtly.) But it wasn’t. Just rolling with the feels. Thank you for your clear insight.
I just pumped out my fist and screamed “Yes! BONDING!” So happy that Emrys was there so Shannon could finally open up about her feelings. I really hope that he and her become really close. but not close enough to be misconstrued that Emrys has a thing for Shannon, or vice versa. I don’t want another miscommunication to ruin Emrys’s trip like seeing Beth and Rich together without context almost did.
