Could be that he shares my opinion of my sister’s paramours- no guy is good enough for her, and them turning out to be jerks only reinforces that belief.
Now I have a better appreciation for Beth’s desire to remain independent from her family. I suppose at least part of it is the parents providing a bad example, but in the end, the only one we can blame ourselves for poor behavior is ourselves. I’m glad that Beth has chosen to break the cycle of people abusing her, maybe it will help Katie down the road. 🙂
