  1. “Thatยดs what she said.” (meme)

  2. I’m sorry…there’s actually a move called “pube shaft”?!!!

  3. I hear faint strains of courting songs in the background….

  4. Meanwhile, Katie might be a bit behind Beth’s curve, not realizing just what changes the road trip wrought on her to bring her and Emrys together, so her judgement may not be far off from what Beth *was*. The same goes for the rest of the primary band – they’s dun growed up summat, and the future looks at least a bit different from what was visible BRT (Before Road Trip).

[editorial] I do like the way you’ve unfolded this story, independently of our editorializing, and I encourage you to keep telling the story you have in mind, in its own terms and in its own time. Toss us an occasional bone or cookie to keep us distracted if you think it advisable or necessary, but keep your mental mitts wrapped tightly around it.

    1. I couldn’t agree more, Parvus. I have a lot of respect for Eric because he doesn’t change his focus to appease us, he tells the story as it needs to be told, which is how it should be unless he, as an author, specifically wants an interactive story. I have a hard time referring to his work as a comic, because it’s more a visual novel, but sometimes Eric throws a little comical silliness that helps keep things light. Case in point, Jeff’s recent art purchase. ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. I suspect that Eric has a small printing press up his sleeve which produces aces on demand.

Also I tend to write the story a month or so in advance so there is really little room to deviate from it even if I wanted to. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Oh noes, itโ€™s Bethโ€™s awful sister Katie again. And who smokes pot while skateboarding? It sounds to me like cruising for a bruising. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. MC 360 Frondside Pube Shaft is my new hip-hop name ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I am so glad I am MetalHead ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I guess the real question I have, dumb though it may be, is whether they are being obnoxious purposely because they feel like they have to “defend their turf”, or if they are naturally just offensive because they don’t know any better. I’m guessing it might be a little bit of both, but I’m sure I’ll find out as the story progresses. When I was their age or even in my 20s, that sort of off-putting behavior would have had me dismissing them as people I cared even one whit for pretty much immediately, but thankfully with age and experience I’ve learned to be a little more thoughtful and look for the motives behind poor manners before reacting. Then again, at my age, all of these people seem kinda like kids to me, but credit where credit is due, it seems like Dave and Sean are taking this in stride.

Happy Friday, folks, wherever you are, even if it’s at work. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Katie was rude to Dave calling him โ€œgoat-faceโ€, but I have to admit, he does have a hircine face.

  9. I approve of this transformation of Bohemian Nights into a skating comic, starring Baby Beth.

It will definitely be one of the storylines with that in it.

  10. If Kate thinks Beth’s friends are losers, I wonder what she’ll think about Emrys. On paper he seems to fit into “loser” category (unemployed, nerdy, soft spoken) but Beth knows Emrys has raw artistic talent (which hopefully he can find a way to use at his next job) and probably can please her in bed more than her more handsome but definitely loser-ish suitors that came before.

I’ve never smoked a joint or skated, so I have no experience in this, but isn’t it customary to light up AFTER you perform your tricks? Doing those moves while baked seems… unwise.

Yup…that’s the very definition of Dave -unwise. Lol!
