This gonna be hard to repair.

Beautifully done, Eric. Certainly the crew has a lot to be thankful for, as well as some time to reflect on life. Christmastime is a good time for reflection and taking stock of your life, both the good and the bad, and deciding what you can do to make life more joyful for yourself and others.

Yep. That is why the most suicides are at Christmas and New Year.

That may well be true, but if you reflect on your life and decided that is no longer worth living, that’s when you really need to make the decision to get help, somehow. Dave was lucky, he has friends that care for him, even if he didn’t realize it, but that’s the insidious truth that pro-drug people seem to ignore when they push for legalizing mind altering substances.
I can’t deny that many people suffer and have little or no support network, but if there’s one thing that Eric does so well portraying in his story, it’s that life is never so bleak that you can’t find help if you truly want it badly enough, which is one reason I keep reading. Where there’s hope, there’s life.

Poor Devon is still suffering. I hope that will change soon.

they’re talking — that’s a good sign!

@Grace, yes it is.
