  1. uh oh. spagetthi-O

    1. i just understood. that bastard has a wife and kid

  2. As the French might say: Le Shit πŸ˜€

  3. While I was trying to remain neutral, this comic is making me want to pull my chair closer and grab the popcorn. Figuratively

  4. β€œIt’s been a lovely evening. Thanks, so long.” πŸ˜‰

    1. Boob grab, French kiss, damn, he was quite close. I am so glad I still have iPod πŸ˜€

  5. So, it’s down to an action verses an intent? And Emrys is going to take a fall for doing what Beth was about to do. I can hear Ross now, “But we were on a break!”

    1. I was thinking the same thing. Beth is going to use this as another β€œMaybe I need to try something different.” again and try to find Emrys. She will discover what he is doing and another wrong time scenario will ensue. Hopefully she does not get mad at him, that does seem in character. Maybe it takes Shannon putting her back in her place?

    2. Ms. No-Name with Emrys couldn’t be Rebecca looking for some revenge could she? No, way to convoluted.

  6. Damn, Robert.* You need to figure some shit out.

I don’t see Emrys taking a fall on this. Although he might be put in an awkward position if Beth decides she needs to call him right now while he’s in the arms of woman whose name we still don’t know.

*Robert the character, not Lonely Robert

  7. Well, I’m trying not to jump to conclusions, but the evidence would suggest that Robert is a grade-A creep trying to get in Beth’s undies just because he couldn’t in high school. If that’s the case, he deserves pretty much whatever reaction he gets from her.

Thinking about what Eric has said about Beth, I’m not sure if she will seek out Emrys or not, I could see it going either way, but for both their sakes I hope she doesn’t track him down expecting a romantic evening to make up for what seems to have been disrupted.

    *sigh*

Relationships sure can be messy, but they certainly have their upsides, even if they only end up being another learning experience.

  8. The plot sickens. Beth just cannot catch a break!

  9. Aw, damn, and I was thinking Beth was going to actually fall for Robert’s “hot ex who got away” routine, sleep with him, and try to dismiss it as a fling, only for Robert to follow her to Oregon to “work things out.”

Still, I can’t help but think this is a divine intervention and a BIG sign that Beth needs to get her shit together and not throw herself at the first super-handsome guy she sees after deciding that Emrys might actually be the guy for her.

I also think Beth is gonna get an emotional gut punch when she runs to Emrys, sees him with Miss What’s-Her-Name, runs to Shannon, and get reamed out by her as “that’s what you get for leading my poor friend on.”

I will still think of Emrys as an ass for hooking up with Miss What’s-Her-Name (if that actually happens) andf Robert, obviously, will be an irredeemable slimeball ALMOST on par with Rich if Rebecca isn’t, say, his sister, but my sympathy for Beth is pretty minimal because she basically walked into this after being warned TWICE by Shannon that this was a stupid and potentially dangerous idea. (Thrice if you count Shannon’s warning at the motel pool not to mess with Emrys’s heart unless she knew 100% what she really wanted.)

  10. Meanwhile, Eric, keep pulling those aces out of your sleeves.

  11. Hey Eric it was an absolute Joy to meet you at the con. It great to meet an artist whose both talented and down to earth!

Thank you so much. It was great to meet you too. I’m very glad you came down to the convention and it was a pleasure to talk with you.

  12. Beth needs someone like Emrys. Beth won’t be good for Emrys as she needs to deal with her attraction to abusers. Beth needs to learn that cuteness and cleverness is no substitute for self respect and self preservation. If I was writing the end of this story arc, I’d have Emrys tell Beth what he feels about and for her, that the last few days/weeks have been a lot of mixed messages, and taking at face value how she has behaved and what she has said, that she needs to figure out what she actually wants and behave accordingly, else Emrys can safely assume this is who she is and this chaos is what she wants. And so not worth Emrys’s time.

Well said. We’ll just have to wait and see….
