1010 Family Portrait

Well darn!

Rose City Comic con, the convention I have always gone to for over ten years just told me I didn't make the cut to appear in artist alley. This is now the second year in a row.

They either have lots of other higher profile artists or they consider Bohemian Nights not that noteworthy.

So no Rose City Convention for me this year.....

    So far, a proto-typical family gathering at a homestead for a holiday (mass consumption event) get together. So far, everything seems… Perfectly normal.

    Well, not openly hostile, it seems, but then again, maybe I’m misreading the scene. Having gone through the “meet the parents” thing before, I can certainly understand Emrys’ trepidation, especially since he’s still young, but I think he’ll do okay. Remains to be seen if Katie decides to be unnecessarily difficult, but I’m not holding out much hope that she won’t try to sabotage things for her sister, if only because she seems to hold grudges. Granted, Beth doesn’t help much, but, from my perspective at least, she is trying to keep her younger sister from making the same mistakes as she did, even if she goes about it the wrong way.
    Sorry to hear about your convention woes, Eric. Hopefully things will look up in the future, but look at it this way, it gives you a little less stress for another year not having to prepare for it. 🙂

      A somewhat typical family gathering. Not horrible, but still with the usual quirks and dysfunctional flare-ups.
      I’ll keep a look out for other conventions. Maybe something up in Seattle will pop up.

    So glad this kind of crap was never a thing in my family.
    All branches and septs mostly stay happily remote from each other with occasional random contacts…
    …except when one of them wants me to “fix” something for them……:(
