#584 A Favor

I hope I survive the next couple of weeks. Two conventions back to back is a lot, but add in a kid's birthday, Halloween, work and the comic and...well...I hope I don't lose what's left of my mind. With that said, I am looking forward to Jet City Comic con this weekend. (Table 65 in artist alley). Come see myself and Andy Macphee.

  1. The setting sun looks a little like a sunrise – hopeful.

Yeah. It kind of does. I like that too.

  2. And suddenly Mateo looks older than his years. I predict tears and stories, but not a lot of ‘clean-up’ to do when all is said and done.

Hang in there, boss! I’ll throw you a lifeline at JetCity if I see you adrift. 😉

The black makes them all look older.
    …maybe I should stop wearing black…

    1. That could be, but I was more referring to his acceptance of doing the favor for Mark’s mother that make Mateo more mature, “older” if you will, than his actualy chronological age. One thing that is a relative constant with death, people tend to recognize their own mortality, even if only briefly, and it subtly alters their perception of their life. Some make big changes, others try to ignore it while it preys on their subconscious, and still others simply try harder to appreciate what they have and enjoy life as it comes. It’ll be interesting to see how the crew moves forward. 🙂

Oh, and see you at the con tomorrow! I’ll buy you a cup of coffee or lunch or something to help make the day go smoother. 😉

  4. Real friends help when you really need help. 🙂
