  1. “Oh my frickin head, it’s so wasted.” (Supah Fly)

  2. It’s time for the hair of the dog that bit her!

  3. Well, no surprise there it would seem.

  4. So Devon had a chance to make up with Annabelle, and instead blew up her chance by not only ditching her for Tori but flat-out SLEEPING WITH HER?
I’ve lost all sympathy I had for Devon. In fact, I’m starting to like her even less than DAVE, who at least took his shot at redemption when it was offered to him. There’s no coming back from this, and she can’t even blame the alcohol because her friends all said it was a bad idea and she blew them all off.

  5. @Corey C, I agree, and you really got to the point. It’s not at all what Annabel deserves. She showed up when asked, only to be dropped like a stone. That’s no way to treat anyone who can be considered any kind of friend.

  6. I’m not sure Devon is worse than Dave. Annabel’s friends invited her without the knowledge of Devon. Devon was drunk ( not an excuse but it does allow for irrational behavior) and at the end of the day, Devon and Annabel are technically broken up. Yes, that was a shitty thing for Devon to do to Anna, but was it all that horrible that Devon ended up where she was? I try not to write the characters with strong moral judgments. (Except Rich). Everyone has flaws and sometimes do things they may or may not come to regret. And with such actions, choices are made that shape people for good or bad. Such is life.

    1. Dave and Devon are a bit like comparing apples to oranges, since the gang didn’t really know how bad Dave’s addiction was until the night of Mateo’s going away party. But the gang was there to see Devon and Annabell’s relationship blow up, and, unlike Dave, Devon did seem like she was listening to her buddies advice on what to do to mend the relationship. and it SEEMED to be working. But then, when reconciliation seemed to be in her grasp, Devon just ditches Anna for Tori right in Anna’s face, and against the advice of ALL of her friends. While it’s not as messy as going into rage mode and physically attacking her friends like Dave did, what Devon did seems a lot more cold and calculated, even if that wasn’t the initial case. It is more comparable to Beth’s almost-fling with Robert 1 in Vegas, as Beth was warned not to go with him by Shannon but went anyway, but Beth did find the very obvious fault in Robert 1 and stop herself from going further. Devon just seemed to go full steam ahead, fuck what everyone else says, and to me it seems that she did it not because temptation won out but because she deliberately wanted to spite Annabelle for breaking her heart. She wasn’t at the end of her rope like Dave, and that’s why I’ve come to slowly start disliking Devon more than Dave (and I REALLY couldn’t stand Dave.)

Also note that Shannon did successfully prevent a drunk Devon from hooking up with that wannabe Casanova during Thanksgiving, so ignoring not only her but Beth, Emrys, and Jeff, all who really care about her, for a hookup with her crush seems less alcohol driven and more spite driven.

  7. I don’t particularly think Devon’s actions came out of spite as much as they did self sabotage. Just an observation from my own life, but it would seem like deep down, she doesn’t feel that she deserves the good things in life happening to her. Or maybe, being a mess is just where her comfort zone is. She’s used to it, knows what to expect, etc.
