Crap. I hate it when I’m right. I just -knew- Stephanie was going to show up and take umbrage to Beth’s encouragement. On the one hand, I get that she’s likely picked up on Emrys’ affection for Beth (if she didn’t know outright, I forget), which would be irksome for many girlfriends, but on the other hand, trying to isolate your beau from all his friends is usually self-defeating. I just hope this doesn’t devolve into a nasty fight.
By the way, really nailed Beth’s [physical] charms again in panel one and…despite my mixed feelings on Stephanie, hachi machi…she looks great (proportions all look good) in that last panel!

Yup. That last panel of Stephanie did come out well. Everything just fell into place. -I wish I could make it happen more often.

This very conversation, regarding chasing dreams, feeling defeated, its one I have had with myself, with my friends, and with my wife. Thank you for writing and drawing this amazing work.

It’s been a tough one for me as well and for many years. All I can say is that it’s the process, not the destination that I have found truly matters. This is, of course, not always easy to achieve if you’ve been faced with roadblock after roadblock. All I can say is don’t give up. You may not make it to the desired finish-line, but that doesn’t mean the race was worthless.
There will be more with this type of topic with Mark after the current story-line as well.

That last scene was a little… unsettling.
No, I don’t think Emrys is “settling”, but I wonder if he couldn’t have found a more suitable job. I have tried sales work over the phone, and I just couldn’t get into it. It takes,I believe a more than merely a set of skills, but a certain kind of personality, which not everyone has.

I agree. Sales over the phone is very hard and not everyone is suitable for it. I wonder if Emrys feels the same way…?
