#408 Dogged at Every Turn

First off, I just want to say I have some of the best fans out there. The letters I got over the weekend are the best Christmas present I could get. Thank you all for writing. That said, I'm still wrestling with the fate of Bohemian Nights, but it won't be ending tomorrow. Or in the next few months. I do love the comic and I've come to really enjoy the characters and there is still much more to flesh out and stories to tell. I still want to continue. But work is a problem. Finding the time to put out a comic with the quality I desperately envision is a constant struggle. And that damn depression is always lingering around the corners screwing with me. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm still going to keep trying. I can't promise what I'll be doing in a year, but until then, I'll keep trying. Who knows, maybe something will finally come my way and I'll catch a break. But thank you...thank you for reading the comic and caring enough to write me and telling me so. It's for you that I do this for.

    Your artwork is so damn good. The little piece that you have wrapped around your Patreon button is a great example of the wonderful, whimsical creations that just flow from you. I remember the seasonal cards you used to send out that were so beautiful. Such things are extremely popular and the designs are endlessly reusable. Let me ask a question of your fans. How many would be interested in greeting/holiday/birthday cards drawn by Eric, whether with Bohemian Nights characters or other themes? I can tell you that I’ve seen his work on this type of thing and it often jaw-dropping.

    Nice sense of “place,” and what the light is like in those woods! Love the drawing of the face in panel 2 as well. Keep it up!
    BTW, this girl’s a trip– I feel worse than usual for Emrys, lol–!
