Hmm…Beth is trailing the conversation? Very interesting! I get the part about not knowing that Shannon is stripping, but I would have guessed that she would have figured out the innuendo about Devon already, seeing as how she’s a pretty sharp cookie.
What does that mean? I think she’s still distracted. 😉
Alternatively, I don’t recall reading anything to suggest that she would naturally assume Devon is in a lesbian relationship, so add in a couple of glasses of wine and recent events and it’s not a stretch that she’s missed a beat. Heck, in her situation I’d probably be experiencing the same confusion, which is one reason that I like Beth. 😉

You’re right. Beth was most likely ‘distracted’ and a couple of glasses into her wine. Also, kinda just going for the humor in today’s strip. I like Beth too. She is smart and feisty, but she can also have a small blind spot especially when it comes to her friends or loved ones. Once she ‘pigeon holes’ you into what she thinks you are, it’s a little hard for her to accept change that would contradict her view of some people.
…Maybe that’s why she has a hard time seeing Emrys as anything other than a friend.
-As always. Great hearing from you.

Ahh! I should have though of that myself; it’s so obvious! Thanks for mentioning it.

At the New Years Party, didn’t Annabel say she moved to the states when she was 16, and then changed her story on the restaurant date to say she moved when she was 14? She’s saying it’s 12 here though. Is she having trouble keeping her story straight?

Oh man! okay. You got me. Consider yourself officially No-Prized! I’ll have to reconcile that error at a later date.
