#719 Epilogue

And that's the end of Book 5. Kind of. Originally Book 5 and 6 we're supposed to be all one book but both parts ran long so I'm splitting up the Summer story into two parts -connected but separate. Also, sorry for the amount of word balloons on this one. I didn't realize how much dialog there was to cram into the panels. If I did, I would have broken it up over two comics, but there you go. As always between books there will be a slight pause in comics so the next Book 'should' be out next Friday. Sorry for the slight delay but it's a two page spread. Midnight Edition is finished and should be posted by the time you read this as well.

  1. At last panel should be “I handle stRess” instead of “stess”.

But it´s good things settle down, anyway.

Thanks for the eagle eye. Fixed it.

      1. Eagles dont have 5 dioptries 🙂

  2. Many words were spoken but they were all relevant to this continuing story. I’m looking forward to the tale of the road trip.

      Me too!

  3. And maybe you’ve reached that place of grace with your characters where they start taking on some of the story telling? You have done a superb job of setting the stage for the road trip. A covid 19 safe distance virtual handshake in congratulations. Include some John Prine in the playlist.

That is the best thing in writing when it happens!! When you think you know what the characters are going to do or say and then while writing, you discover that they said ” uh…nope. I’m going to do this instead.” I love writing when that happens. -When they tell you where the story should go.

  4. Nice transition and a comfortable “chat between friends” level of dialogue. You can relate to this situation, in some fashion or another, and that gives it extra impact. The natural flow of your dialogue always impresses me, sir!

Now, onto bigger and brighter things! 🙂

Thank you so much! I try and write dialogue the way I hear it when with friends of my own. Which is why I have a lot of cursing in the conversation, come to think of it.

I am not any tiny bit better. (Especially when I curse in my native Czech, then in Finnish, Polish and Russian) So no hard feeling by me 🙂
