#487 Excelsior!

A Joke four years in the making! Almost from the start of the comic nearly four years ago, I planned on having the gang go to a comic convention, but I only had one script -one episode ever done. This one. Now it can finally be told. (Just needed a little updating.) The cost to meet really high level celebrities is just outrageous for what little you actually get out of it. So I had to poke a little fun at it. It gives me a smile to see it finally made print. (And Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental -wink wink. nudge nudge)

    It’s been about 15 years since I’ve been to a con. I can’t imagine having to pay extra to meet the guests! Doesn’t that kind of defeat the purpose?

    HA! I was not expecting this diversion, but it was definitely a hilarious surprise. 😀

    The only time I’ve been met a celebrity at a convention I just had to pay for the autographed picture and stand in line for an hour or something. I don’t regret meeting Adam Baldwin in the least, but I do regret squealing like a ten-year old boy when I found out he was going to be on a future episode of “Castle” when it had been the exact thing I had been saying should happen for months. Oh well, I’m sure he’s used to middle-aged men being dorks after this long in show business. 😀
