Las panel, Anne word bubble, first either is spelt either.
(Still enjoying the comic and look forward to every update, life is just a tad bit crazy. But, still want to help however I can.)
I am in a similar scenario. I was raised in Louisiana, but I moved to Florida years ago. I live my life and do so away from family because I know a decent portion of them would not accept me for who I am. Running away has worked great. Then I decided to take my mother up on her offer to help me finish school. Now I am moving back… It is hard because it is easier to say nothing instead of dealing with other people’s opinions being shoved down your throat.
It can be very tough dealing with family when you’re older. Everyone is set in their ways and there becomes less and less room to negotiate. I hope the move back brings an opportunity to resolve some issues.
Reading her description of her parents, it will be interesting to see how you are going to handle the parents’ development when they are introduced to the readers! I hope we’re surprised.
I agree, Ravenwald! If there’s one thing I’ve come to expect from Eric, it’s that he doesn’t disappoint when it comes to surprises. Even if the outcome isn’t what some of us might hope for, it always feels like it fits the story and characters. Life is like that sometimes. 🙂
I think one of the thing all children are guilty of, to some extent or another, is underestimating their parents. The same is usually true of parents, but I think most of the time it’s harder to get know each other because you develop preconceived notions based on negative feedback more than positive, which is normal I think since we all want to avoid feeling bad. The hard part is developing enough maturity to look at things from another person’s perspective, and often times that means realizing that, even if you still disagree with their opinions, quite frequently the other party has good intentions that might be based on their own experiences or fears that they don’t want you to suffer. Of course there are people who have tunnel vision and never budge, but ultimately it’s better for your own conscience if you give them the benefit of a doubt, like Annabel said.
Happy Friday, folks. I hope you have a good weekend. 🙂
This looks interesting. I’ve got plenty of relations that are weird about my religious beliefs, still expecting me to grow out of it someday. LOL! No one wants to talk about it so it’s nothing that will ever be faced. Oh well, they’re loss.
“Knock knock!” Hello ma’am, do you have a minute to talk about Odhinn and how he died to bring us the Runes? “Slam”
It’s a classic dilemma: whether to avoid upsetting important people in your life, or go ahead and let them know something disturbing to them. It’s very tempting to keep quiet and avoid aggravation, but it’s usually best to speak up, because the truth has a way of revealing itself sooner or later. Nobody wants to get accused of hiding significant secrets.

Annabell is rightfuly disapointed, but still supports Devon. That is true Love for me.
