# 524 Liquid Integrity

So in three months, Bohemian Nights turns five. What does someone do to celebrate such an occasion?

why... VEGAS, BABY!!!

That's right. I'm hitting a convention out of the state! Seattle wouldn't take me. San Fransisco didn't work out. But Vegas took me in like a warm hooker on a hot summer night who knew I still had 40 bucks left in my pocket. I'll be in artist alley by day, slinging comics, graphic novels, original sketches and of course slinging plenty of Drinker's Hell games. And by night...? Who knows. If you're in the area or even close enough to make a fun road trip, please come on down. It's not too often I'm able to swing such a convention this far away so who knows when I'll be able to do this again in the area. I promise I'll make it worth your while. Okay, more on that later as it develops. I just want to finish by giving a heart felt THANK YOU to everyone who writes in the comment section. I've been getting a lot more of them recently and I really enjoy hearing from you. I will try to respond to each and everyone one of you as much as I can as well. The comments on the more recent posts are easy to spot and respond to, but if you write a comment on an older post, I might miss it. (I'll try not to). But it's really great to read your comments on the comic and I enjoy your take on the characters and story direction. (It might not change the story direction*, but it's still fun to see). So thank you again. Keep em coming. Everyone is welcome here. * In fact, I just finished writing the scripts to all the comics up to # 555. -That's all the way to the Vegas convention in July!

  1. Love the series and artwork. Looking forward to seeing if Beth does interrupt Stephanie’s plan…

Thank you, Edwin. The story is done and locked in. Everyone will just have to wait and see how it unfolds.

  2. wondering of Stephanie has some ulterior motive, cause he doesn’t seem to be the kind of guy she would normally go for – – hope Beth gets there in time, she and Emrys would make a great couple

      -Only time will tell…

  3. Whoo-Hoo! VEGAS!!!!

I know, right? I don’t think I’ll be making a lot of money on this venture…

  4. Wow! I didn’t know respect was spelled “cabernet”. That opens up a whole world of possibilities! 😀

Somehow I don’t think Emrys is going to appreciate Beth’s plan, even if it might possibly be the best of intentions. I forsee…lots of trouble in the near future, and most of it for poor well-meaning Beth.

Oh! And hope you have a great time in Vegas! Just remember not to kiss and tell! Err, that’s not Vegas, is it? Oops. 😉

I think that’s how Lapooza always spelled it. 😀
      Again, wait and see…bwa-ha-ha…

  5. Don’t get me wrong, I love Beth’s character. Really, I do. But this is a very poor plan. Also reminds me a little too much of Shannon and Mark’s first go in the flashback.
(Wanted nothing to do with him until he found someone, then only wanted him)
And that is mostly because… there is no REASON for it. Steph hasn’t cheated or threatened or manipulated (that we have seen). Just… pushed him in the direction of a stable, well paying job. Admitted to past lustiness, but still.
Can’t vilify her for it. The idea of people being in different leagues or “I’m a 4 your a 10” is just stupid rationalization for insecurities.

That said… this can’t go well and I can’t wait to see how it does. Or doesn’t

You have a good case there.
    (….sorry. awful pun.)
Beth is obviously still a bit drunk and may not be thinking too clearly. All the best and worst plans happen when you’re drinking. Mark and Shannon’s relationship is a unique and quite frankly, bizarre one. Which is why I had to end it. I agree with you in that, with the exception of a little bit of manipulation and a snarky comment or two, Stephanie really isn’t showing herself in a bad light. There are and will be some good qualities put forth in her defense in the months to come (as well as some bad ones). I want to present her as neither black or white. -And judging by the Stephanie pro and con comments here, I must be doing something right.
    Thanks for the feedback.

    1. You’re doing something right.

Stephanie is not good or bad at face value, which is reasonably all that should be considered, but a number of us have prior experience (personal or second hand) that makes us question her motives, which is as human a failing as if Stephanie is just manipulating Emrys for personal gain. The fact that the characters are this fleshed out (no pun intended) just tells us (and you) that you’ve done a good job make relatable and realistic characters. 🙂

  7. Wicked Beth, wicked! (I wonder if this will do her any good at all.)
    😉

It may not have done her much good, but Mr. Lapooza made out like a bandit.
