So I’m switching gears on the Patreon comic. I thought I could write these characters as they were back when they first got out of High School. Back when they were younger.  I was wrong. The story is just not coming together and I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around them being at such a young age and coming off as genuine. I can write people in their twenties…But in their teens? Not so much. It just doesn’t ring true to me. There are flaws in the story and the art style is all over the place. So for the time being, this storyline is being shelved. So what am I putting in its place? For the short term I’m doing another short but fun romp into the gang playing another crazy D&D game. Something to lighten up the mood. This will most likely last 8-10 months but I would like to come up with a more permanent and consistent bonus strip. I’m leaning towards spotlight strips of just one or two of the characters in individual stories (as they are today) that don’t take away from any of the main storylines in the regular strip. I could also do a strip showcasing the Green Man himself. And I may be periodically showing some bonus material that will be in the printed book collection as well. Basically, I’m open to suggestions. Bottom line is, you don’t need the Patreon strips to follow what’s going on in the regular strip but it should be an enchantment. (Similar to how the talented Chris Rouche is handling his Patreon strips and his amazing web comic, Shotgun Shuffle). In any case, the Patreon comic will be up this weekend or Monday at latest. And next week I'll talk about Rose City Comic con coming up in September.

    HOLY SHIT! This story just took a fun turn!!
    Now to keep her away from the animals in the gang without showing jealousy….

      more interesting! Wanted to see what was happening with Beth and if Emrys woud snag Mark’s old loft!

    Beth’s not completely out of the picture yet. This story line is actually plotted for the next hundred comics. (!)
    As for Mark’s old loft, I don’t think Emrys can afford it. (and honestly, I don’t know how Mark ever really afforded it as well.)
