I just went on a quick archive binge for the greatest hits of Drake, and man, the art has gotten better over the years.
I also note that this decision was discussed three years ago, so nobody can accuse you of rushing into it!

Thanks Brett. I feel the art has gotten better too. Did I really think of casting off Drake three years ago? I don’t remember. But it has been on my mind for a while so it doesn’t surprise me.

Close – 15th August 2015 you asked for opinions. I think the consensus was “it’s your story, we trust your judgement”

Well, the good news is, Drake will go out on a high note (how could he not?), but he won’t be missed in terms of the story, so I think it’s both appropriate from a character relationship standpoint and a narrative standpoint. Kudos to you for planning ahead so well, not everyone manages it.

Thank you. I do like to think of the ‘long game’ for the comic. A kind of loose road map for all the characters that gets more defined and refined the closer it comes to creating the actual comic. Some characters go out years.

Fare thee well, ya demon bastard!
Good call. The send off is also really well done.
