828 Plans Made

Aaaaaand we're back! It was a long two weeks away but I'm finally back and ready to finish out the story line over the next couple of months. Thank you all for holding your breath till the comic came back. (I'm just glad I missed out on the 114 degree weather up here!) As for the Kickstarter....well.... It doesn't look like it will meet the goal. BUT.... That doesn't mean I won't try again. I think the problem was I went for a much too high print run of 400 books. (What was I thinking of, right?) So the next time I do this I'll be shooting for a much lower print run of 100 which will put the pledge goal to around 2000 .... which I'm over  that amount right now! So hold tight. I'll be re-running the Kickstarter in a week or two and hopefully will get it all finished. I may even add a few new reward tiers. Anyone out there have any suggestions?

    What a bring down! Emrys should look for another dinner date, and consider it practice for when he really does go out with Beth. (Fingers crossed.) 😉

      I’d say Emrys should bring Shannon or Jeff. Shannon has been on Team Emrys since they hugged it out in the field and I think she deserves a fancy dinner as a token of friendship, and as for Jeff, the whole road trip was his idea, so the fancy dinner would be a perfect thank you.

      Knowing Emrys, though, he’d probably let Jeff and Jojo go to the restaurant without him and cry in the hotel room while getting sloshed.

        Shannon is already owed a lot of credit for trying to help both Emrys and Beth. I have no problem with Jeff being rewarded at Le Parroquet Bleu, but he may have
        to be dragged out of Taco Bell. 😉

      I think she already did. She warned Beth not to screw with Emrys’s heart unless she REALLY wanted him and called her out when Beth accepted Robert’s date. At this point there’s nothing Shannon can say that will stop Beth from repeating her old pattern, unless Robert turns out to be just as sleazy as Rich was.

    Emrys, you sad, love-struck fool… this was inevitable. Never make surprise reservations before even asking the girl you like out first!

    Kind of surprised Jojo spilled the beans right then and there. I was fully expecting Beth to just say she had plans and Emrys find out on his own that the plans revolved around “Hunky Robert.” Knowing up front that Beth is reverting back to her old pattern after making it seem that she was ready for Emrys to ask her out completely ruins the predictions I made about the climax of this arc.

    At this point I think Emrys should just move on with his life and forget about dating Beth. He needs to find a girl who won’t park him in the friend zone
