We all know she’s highly manipulative. She manipulated Emrys from the very start of their relationship, and I just don’t doubt this is more manipulation to try and get him back.
You could be right, but did you look at the comic #755 that Eric referenced on the last page? That expression on her face and the subsequent reaction seemed like pretty natural shock to me. Maybe she will follow-up with a request to get back together, but she hasn’t said it so far and I don’t think Emrys would fall for it even if she did. Sometimes, well, sometimes people can change for the better just by being under the influence of someone who actually cares and looks more at the positives in life than the negatives.
I believe her, given the fury she had when she booted out the nameless hookup who said the same words her r*pist said, but I do question why she was so determined to tell Emrys of all people when she knows this probably changes nothing between them.
Customer: “Do you have any peas?” / Emrys: “We only carry frozen peas, they’re over in the…Frozen Food Crypt section.” Customer: “…oh…kay.” π I love this page for the humor and the character development. I may be a sucker, but I’m pinning my hopes on Stephanie turning her life around. π
Given Her demeanor he’s probably the closest thing she has to a friend, besides she knows his inherent goodness means he’ll give her a chance to explain herself.
I don’t think she’s lying, and I don’t think Emrys actually *hates* her.
However, I don’t think it would be a wise for him to allow her back into his life at this poin
I think this trauma is genuine given her breakdown during her attempted rebound hookup, and I do commend her for telling someone about it, but there’s two questions I need to ask: Why Emrys in particular, when this is more of a thing to tell a therapist, or at least another woman (it would’ve kind of made sense if Stephanie told Beth about this despite being mortal ememies, though I’m sure Beth wouldn’t have believed her), and what is Emrys supposed to do with this knowledge if helping Stephanie tell her dad about his friend is off the table?
I believe her because (at least so far) she isnβt trying to get any money or other valuables out of Emrys. She knows heβs a good-hearted person who may at times be vulnerable to such manipulation.

“Hand crafted frozen water in bags” made me laugh more, than it should. But no regrets here π
“Why I’m so f…” Well, you did not end in porn or OF, so good job in here, girl. Many others ended even worse than you.
And speaking of my own experience, it takes a lot of time and effort to be able to speak about such trauma. So I understand.

I think she’s playing Emrys like a cheap Irish Fiddle.
I don’t buy a word of it.

Just to add on here.

Perhaps Steph just want to apology. And attempt to get Emrys back. But she definitely should avoid Beth. Beth still have unfulfilled promise to Steph.
